About our cards
Where can I buy Saffron & Sage cards?
Our cards are sold through independent shops, museum stores and bookstores. See our stockists. We don't sell directly on this website.
What does "Inspired by" mean on the card?
The words on each card are our own, original contemporary lines. They were inspired by an idea in an ancient passage, which we cite beneath them (for example, Rig Veda 10.191.4). They are not translations. Type the reference into Explore a Verse to see what inspired it.
Why is there no occasion printed on the card?
So you decide. The same card can say happy birthday, congratulations, thank you or simply “I thought of you”, depending on what you write inside.
Are the cards religious?
No. Our ideas come from very old writing, and we cite our sources openly, but the cards are about human experiences anyone can share. You don't need to know or believe anything to enjoy one.
Is there room to write inside?
Yes. Each card has one or two printed lines and plenty of space for your own words.

Wholesale FAQ
How do I become a stockist?
Apply for a wholesale account. We'll reply with our line sheet, pricing and terms. We work with independent shops, museum stores, gift boutiques and bookstores.
Can I order through Faire?
Yes. Once our Faire shop is live, you can order there with Faire's terms for retailers. Direct bulk orders are also welcome.
What are your minimums?
Opening order: $150. Reorders: to be confirmed. Cards are sold in packs of 6 per design.
What are your prices?
Wholesale: to be confirmed per card. Suggested retail: to be confirmed. See the line sheet.
How long until my order ships?
Lead time: to be confirmed.
What are your payment terms?
to be confirmed. Faire orders follow Faire's terms.
Do the cards sell year-round?
Yes. No occasion or season is printed on them, so every design works in every month.
Do you provide display materials?
Yes. Every opening order includes a small shelf card that explains our “Inspired by” idea to your customers.
Something arrived damaged. What should I do?
Email wholesale@shopsaffronandsage.com with your order number and a photo within 7 days, and we'll make it right.
